Backtagging: Yes
Threadhopping: Usually no - I tag a lot from email, due to my medical conditions, and it is difficult for me to do so in threads that fork off.
Fourthwalling: You can fourth-wall Mary. I'm fine with characters recognising her as a historical figure.
Offensive subjects: As a player, nothing really bothers me other than extreme gore or tiny holes. I hate tiny holes. No pictures of sponges or barnacles please. /shudders
IC
Hugging this character: Sure!
Kissing this character: She will be offended if there's no build up to the kiss but as a player I'm fine.
Flirting with this character: Absolutely, she flirts effortlessly.
Fighting with this character: Verbally, yes. Physical fights, please PM me first.
Injuring this character: Lets discuss the extent of it over discord or in PM first.
Killing this character: It would have to be discussed extensively.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Sure! Mary is someone who tends to wear her heart on her sleeve for the most part so I imagine it's quite easy to read her mind.
Anything else:

Warnings: Mary was the victim of a sexual assault in her past but in this canon point, she's moved on to a new, consensual relationship.

NAME: Mary Stuart
CANON: Reign
CANON POINT: Reign 2x16 Tasting Revenge
AGE: 21
HISTORY: here
PAST GAME MEMORIES: n/a
PERSONALITY:
Mary Stuart is the heart and soul of Scotland in spite of not setting foot on Scottish soil since she was an infant. She's stubborn to a fault, loyal to those she loves and charming when she needs to be. Mary is not afraid of making an enemy in the pursuit of doing something right and she dislikes playing games of intrigue and subterfuge - much to her detriment in the French court where she now makes her home.
Mary longs for a simple life. Having been raised in a convent for the most part, she is no stranger to hard work and austerity and while she has a great love for fine things, sometimes she just wants to run away from it all and just be free. She has a wild spirit that is at odds with her mother in law, Catherine di Medici, and she butts heads with her more often than not because of it. Mary isn't afraid to suffer punishment for her beliefs, either, and has been known to be thrown into a tower simply because she has disagreed with her husband on how to handle protestant rebellion in France, and isn't one to bend on her principles simply because it's easy and it's the path back to comfort. Comfort is no object when it comes to doing what's right, at least in Mary's book.
Mary is a young queen but no less intelligent because of it. She rules by listening to those around her and accounting for the needs of both Scotland and France, knowing that someday she will have to carry the burden of two crowns upon her head instead of just one. She bears herself with the carriage of a queen, too, only showing her anger, her grief, her strife in front of those she considers her equals and friends. In court, she has a carefully constructed mask that she never lets crack, most evidenced by when she was attacked by protestant militants in the palace; while she'd just experienced a traumatic event, she dressed and went to address the court as if nothing had gone wrong.
Among her ladies-in-waiting, though, she shows a playful side and a willingness to play ball, throw snowballs and do any number of unladylike things in pursuit of fun. While safely ensconced within castle grounds with her ladies, she's quick to laugh and play around and she lets her guard down with her ladies even more than she does with her own husband, trusting them with the secrets she cannot tell anyone else. She also lets her guard down with children, thoroughly enjoying the time she spends with her husband's younger brothers and acting as something of a surrogate mother to them.
As a Catholic monarch in a Catholic country, she is surprisingly tolerant of other religions. She helps shelter a pagan woman while she delivers her child and protects the child from being seized and punished by Catherine and she is in vehement opposition to an edict requiring all nobles of France to proclaim their Catholic faith to the king. When one of her ladies marries a Protestant, she's supportive of the decision. This tolerance and willingness to except the strange and the new will serve her well in Ainmhian because the fae, in her book, will be another demonstration of the pagan religion.
POWERS/ABILITIES: N/A
SAMPLES: i, ii
ANYTHING ELSE? Mary was sexually assaulted prior to her canon point but by this canon point has entered into another sexual relationship, one outside of her marriage. I feel that while she hasn't "gotten over" her assault, as one can never do that, she would be comfortable enough to pursue something both A) outside her marriage and B) sexual from this canon point.
